Once, throughout the Alps, medicinal and aromatic plants were harvested in the wild or cultivated in vegetable gardens, which ointments and curative decoctions were prepared with.
For several years, in Pa’Mairlan, we have resumed this tradition. In our garden, – gorte in the local language –, you will find the same essences and crops that grow, at more than 1400 meters above sea level, only thanks to the quality of the land and the pure air of Sauris.

We would like to heal and protect the welfare of who comes to visit us with the line “nature extracts“-pflegngreiser– which includes herbal teas and creams.
These items are crafted by specialised laboratories that use flowers and plants we hand-pick and later dry on wooden frames.

We created our cosmetic line depending on our visitors’ needs. Arnica cream is useful after a hiking tour in our mountains, while calendula cream is recommended for sunburns. Mint and thyme cream is good for soothing tired feet instead.
CREAM/ ARNICA
Arnica Montana grows at high altitude along the alpine region.
It used to be dried in order to create ointments or used in its hydroalcoholic extract form as dyeing. It has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti- ecchymotic properties. The cream we make has in addition to arnica also a percentage of calendula, devil’s claw, mountain pine, thyme and melissa (lemon balm), famous for their balsamic and lenitive properties.

BODY CREAM/ CALENDULA & MALLOW
Since the early 1500’s Calendula was used for its therapeutic and officinal properties. It is an annual and perennial herbaceous plant, very widespread into the wild. We added to our lenitive and soothing calendula cream also some mallow, which helps to sedate and calm the skin. For these reasons it is a suitable product after a day in the sun or after too much exposure to atmospheric agents.

Thanks to the support of a herbalist, we were able to create different herbal mixtures, strong in colours and scents. Our visitors can taste their officinal properties from a cup of tea. We decided to name three of the mixtures after strong women of our family: Tuningle, Nenele, Greatle.
PA’MAIRLAN
It has a sweet and fresh flavour. Lemon balm, mint, yarrow, mallow, chamomile, calendula and cornflower are good to settle the stomach and help relaxing the whole organism.
GREATLE
Characterized by an aromatic flavour, this is a balsamic infusion with expectorant properties, made with silver fir buds, raspberry leaves, wild thyme and elderflower.
TUNINGLE
This infusion is characterized by a bitter and grassy taste given by nettle, mallow, horsetail, raspberry leaves and myrrhis. Its ingredients are detoxifying and remineralizing at the same time.
NENELE
It is a sweet and colourful mixture made with lemon balm, yarrow, chamomile, calendula, cornflower and fennel. Perfect before the bed time.
You can find the Pa’ Mairlan herbal tea packaged in practical pyramidal bags. You only need a hot water cup to give yourself a pleasant relaxing time.
